Understanding in a car crash...

"Splintered piece of glass falls, in the seat, gets caught
These broken windows, open locks, reminders of the youth we lost
In trying so hard to look away from you
we followed white lines to the sunset
I crash my car everyday the same way

Time to let this pass
(the time it takes, the time it takes to let go)
Time runs through our veins.
(it starts and stops and starts and stops again)
We don't stand a chance in this threadbare time
(the time it takes, the time it takes to let go)
Time to let this pass
(the time it takes, the time it takes to let go)

Staring at the setting sun
No reason to come back again
The twilight world in blue and white
The needle and the damage done

I don't want to feel this way forever
A dead letter marked return to sender

The broken watch you gave me turns into a compass
It's two hands still point to the same time 12:03, our last goodbye

So push the seats back a little further
I can see the headlights coming
So push the seats back a little further
Roll the windows down and take a breath
I can see the headlights coming
They paint the world in red and broken glass

Time to let this pass
(the time it takes, the time it takes to let go)
Time runs through our veins.
(it starts and stops and starts and stops again)
We don't stand a chance in this threadbare time
(the time it takes, the time it takes to let go)
Time to let this pass
(the time it takes, the time it takes to let go)

Staring at the setting sun
No reason to come back again
The twilight world in blue and white
The needle and the damage done

I don't want to feel this way forever
A dead letter marked return to sender

The spinning hubcaps set the tempo, for the music of the broken window
The Cameras on and the cameras click
We open up the lens and can't stop

Staring at the setting sun
No reason to come back again
The twilight world in blue and white
The needle and the damage done

I don't want to feel this way forever

The lights are on and the cameras click
We open up the lens (to broken glass!)

Staring at the setting sun (And it's over!)
No reason to come back again (In a flash!)
The twilight world in blue and white (and I'll never!)
The needle and the damage done (ever understand!)

I don't want to feel this way forever (Understanding!)
(In a Car Crash!) A dead letter marked return to sender (In a Car Crash!)
(In a Crash!) In a Crash!"

My $6100 oopsy. Yeah, not a fun morning... do I get a bonus for still making it to clinicals, though?

Taken with a Motorola Droid 1.
Oh no! My sympathies! I hope you weren't trying to take a picture when this happened!

@dejongdd haha, most certainly not! both hands on the wheel, below the recommended speed :) Black ice got me :(
March 20th, 2011
Yikes! I hope you weren't hurt!
March 20th, 2011
So sorry, but glad you made it to clinicals and are ok.
March 20th, 2011
@dejongdd I was fine, just shaken up! Just without a car for a few weeks which really sucks, as I go to school 50 miles from where I live.

@mjkeator Thank you!
March 20th, 2011
Oh no!! Are you ok??
March 20th, 2011
That is one expensive oopsy! Glad you are ok and you made your clinicals.
March 20th, 2011
oh noes! :( What did you hit? Poor Sentra.

@sylphy Olivia apparently has taken issues with state property, aka guard rails. :( It was on the I-80 onramp, and it's a corner, and there was ice on portions, and the rear just spun out on me. Weirdest thing ever, I've never had the rear come out like that on me in a FWD car ever.

That's how I rolled my TC! Good you're safe! You seem to be having bad luck lately...
March 20th, 2011
@anicrow This is what started it... LOL. The phone was just the icing on the cake :P Which if you notice, I have posted picture of said swimming pool that killed the Droid.

@hmgphotos Dang man! Scary! Max almost totaled the Z last week- he was merging onto 470 from Santa Fe and the back end came around at 70MPH and all he saw was concrete barrier, but he was able to save it in time, and just got the two passenger side tires into the dirt... yeah, well the rear tires are bald... so... it's driving the Legacy for him until we get some new shoes for the Z! And yeah, getting the back end to come out on FWD is strange... maybe Olivia decided to become RWD for a while to see how it feels. ;p
March 20th, 2011
@sylphy LOL, well... Olivia failed big time at being RWD! :D
March 20th, 2011
@sylphy Oh, and the grill isn't being replaced! It's like Wonder Grill... 3rd accident and still undamaged. Damn bucktoof...
March 20th, 2011
Maybe it's a zombie bucktoof!
March 20th, 2011
Oh no! I'm so sorry this happened. I'm glad your safe. I hate black ice. :(
