Everyone has heard of a cowlick. But my son has 8 of them around the top of his head, so we say he got licked by the whole herd, not just a cow. His hair sticks up all over and grows into a fauxhawk naturally. We have tried everything, but nothing will make it lay down., so we just keep it cut short. Odd thing is, my older son's hair lays down perfectly. We can't spike it up. They are complete opposites. This week's theme is hair!
Great shot and you son is a good sport for posing. These days, some hipster salons probably charge a fortune for designing that style!
I have a cow's lick and have hated it my whole life - you can see it in my profile pic, sticking up, curling around and saying hello. Cutting my hair either too short or growing it too long is bad, and somewhere in-between usually works best for keeping it under control.
My older son Erick would understand completely. Although he didn't have 8, he did have two that were in the worst places. When he liked his hair short they didn't really cause too much trouble, but when he started to like it longer, and his hair was on the thinner side, it was the perfect combination for some awkward school pics! Thankfully he managed to not let it bother him. Bravo to your son for putting up with 8 and making the best of it. And looking ahead, as it always looks tasseled this will come in handy during the teen years when he rolls out of bed 5 minutes before he's due on the bus. (o: !! Great shot and story for the theme!
