Where did all the color go?

In just a few short weeks, this pond went from being glorious to blah! I've been wanting to take this comparison picture for weeks, but didn't have time until today. I'll update this photo with snow, spring and hopefully summer foliage as the seasons progress.
Looks like glass on that lake, what a difference

Definitely a huge difference! Cool project for the seasons.

Wonderful comparison shot. That happened here, too. Now it's starting to look dull and gray.

Wow, that was some challenge you gave me. Also I checked out your answer to the same challenge. Marvelous! I wish i could think of an equally fun challenge, but all I can think of is "Modern day fairly tale". [Which sounds fun :D] Feel free to take it anyway you want. :3

@sarasdadandmom @archaeofrog @mittens @cazann @linnypinny @susale Thanks!
@twr I wish I could go south for the winter. But, we are only in New England for this year, moving south next summer!
@lafish I am definitely ready to go back to summer, too. Although, it's feeling like spring today.

@paign Oh, that sounds fun. My whole family is hooked on "Once Upon a Time" kind of a modern day fairy tale, so this ought to be fun.

What a difference! Just the little firs at the front have kept their colour. Will be nice to see all seasons.
November 18th, 2013
Nice comparison shot. I miss autumn's beauty, too!
November 18th, 2013
@happysnap @genealogygenie Thanks. I will be in this area until June, so I hope to update it with the other seasons.

Yes, a great collage to compare the change. Autumn is so beautiful.

@anazad511 I just wish it would have lasted a little longer. I'm not used to the leaves falling in the middle of Oct.
November 19th, 2013
Wonderful comparison! This is going to make such a great series with such a beautiful setting to work with.
November 19th, 2013
@taffy Thanks. It's a pond next to our church. Makes for a very peaceful setting.
November 19th, 2013
Nicely done. We still haven't had a great splash of colour here.
November 19th, 2013
Love it ...

@steampowered When we lived in IL, we never really got to see fall colors because the bugs ate the leaves before they could turn. But here in New England, the leave turn very early. I really enjoyed leaf peeping. Kind of miss it now that the leaves are long gone.
@pdulis Thanks!

It may look blah today- but with snow and ice skaters, it will turn into a winter wonderland!
November 24th, 2013
@olivetreeann Maybe even sooner that we think! LOL! We got a half inch of snow tonight.
November 24th, 2013
@homeschoolmom We had a dusting- very light, but it was enough to make me sad! I was hoping the snow would wait until maybe August!
November 24th, 2013
@olivetreeann We got a half inch Saturday night. I was hoping to get a pic of the pond with snow this morning. But, when we got half way to church, we drove out of the snow. It didn't quite make it that far west.
November 25th, 2013
@homeschoolmom It's just the appetizer Lisa- the main course is on the way!
November 26th, 2013
@olivetreeann I know. I'm not looking forward to it at all. My only consolation is that I only have to survive one winter here before heading South next summer.
November 26th, 2013
Wow, thats a cool collection of how rapid the change is
