This is a switch. Usually the squirrels steal from birdfeeders. But, this time, this bluejay is stealing something out of this squirrel nest behind our house. It looks like it is either a potato chip or a piece of fruit that was probably originally stolen out of a birdfeeder. Whatever it is, this is one brazen bird.
If you look at yesterday's collage, you can see the fat squirrel who lives in this nest sitting on it while eating some berries.
@bristolrose Thanks. Actually, they are usually known as the yard thug. They usually run other birds out the yard when they come in. They can be quite aggressive. @linnypinny Thanks!
