We visited the Harvard University campus this afternoon in Cambridge, MA, kind of as a follow up to visiting the JFK Presidential Library in Boston. I took this picture as we crossed the street just down from campus. We are the shadows hurrying across the busy city street during rush hour. We walked around Cambridge for quite a while, even though temps were hovering around freezing even with the sun shining brightly.
@teodw Thanks! It's a very upscale area. We saw some amazing old houses near the campus that were meticulously maintained. Absolutely gorgeous, but a little too city for me!
Love the shot , especially the elongated shadows leading into it. As the saying goes, you live and you learn. I didn't know Harvard was in a place called Cambridge. I did some work for our Cambridge (the publishing arm) training Egyptian teachers online!
@taffy@swilde@pinkpaintpot@joansmor@sarasdadandmom@digitalrn@linnypinny@lynnilou Thanks so much. It was early evening, so the sun was sitting low in the sky, make for some fabulous shadows. @ceilidh There are a lot of towns here in America named after towns in England. Cambridge is on the north side of Boston, so when the British came ashore in Boston to stop the rebellion against the Tea Tax, Paul Revere escaped across the Charles River in a boat, then took a horse through Cambridge to Lexington and Concord to warn the patriots. There was a big battle on the road between Lexington and Concord between the Minutemen and the Redcoats. Lots of fabulous history in this area.
