One of the most surprising things about New England is the large amount of wetlands. They seem to be everywhere. I even have a small one in my back yard. That would explain the unbelievable large number of mosquitoes here when we arrived last summer.
@kwind@ceilidh@digitalrn Thanks! @katiebrenkert Soon all that grass will be cattails. When we moved here last summer, the mosquitoes were terrible. Finally we realized there was cattails everywhere, even in downtown. I've never seen such a wet area.
