So far, we have seen 11 moose on this trip (9 on a moose tour). The top three pictures are the first bull moose we saw tonight. They had a camera mounted on the bus, so the middle picture is of the video feed. The two moose below were taken late at night. The driver went to some spots where moose are known to hang out. With the aid of a spot light, we were able to get some fairly good pictures of them. These two cooperated this us and posed for quite a while. The other 6 we saw did not. but, it was a fun night.
Lisa, I have seen moose here in my neighborhood. So you just never know here in Maine and NH. You just don't want to literally bump into one. Nice captures. I have never done one of those tours. My dh wasn't really interested.
@swilde It was very exciting. We saw 9 moose, 5 or 6 deer and my daughter saw a turkey! LOL! @lifepause It's really beautiful up there. My older son was much happier in the White Mountains than when we went to NYC. Course, put my younger son in the woods with some giant rocks and he's about as happy as a kid can be, in spite of his allergies acting up! LOL!
@paulam@ceilidh@skippysue@lynnilou@lafish Thanks! @joansmor It was a lot of fun, but kind of expensive for 5 people. They named my 11-year-old the good luck charm and made him wear a moose hat (which he happily did) since he was the only kid on the bus! LOL! @digitalrn The top row are all the same moose. He stuck around for a long time. He was a big guy. They said he was probably 4 years old and weighed about 600 pounds, but would probably top out around 900 by the end of summer. We saw two that were even bigger, but I couldn't get good pictures of them.
