When we moved to NH in mid-July 2013, our backyard looked like a jungle, similar to the picture I took today. Most of the leaves popped out last week while we were on vacation because it pretty much looked like the April picture when we left. It may be after Memorial Day (which we consider the start of the summer) it's still feels like early spring here. Even though the fall picture is to the right of the tree instead of the left, you get an idea of how it looked. I've taken a lot of pictures of this tree (most of them included snow, as nearly half our year here was wintertime). Hard to believe, but in less than 2 weeks, we move again. I might miss this tree, but I don't think I'll miss winter in NH. I'm ready to live someplace where summer lasts longer than a month.
@ceilidh Sadly, half of the time we lived here, there was snow on the ground. Fall was beautiful, as we didn't really have fall colors in the mid-west. There just wasn't that many trees. I prefer full summer foliage. Glad it is finally back.
@joansmor I am so glad to see the sun shining this morning. We had to turn the heat on yesterday. I hope it warms up some. My asthma does not like the 50s. @digitalrn Yes, quite jungle-like back there. I'm glad. I'm tired of looking at bare trees. They have been bare since late October.
@lynnilou@megmills@linnypinny Thanks! @quietpurplehaze We are moving to North Carolina in less than 2 weeks. It's already very hot there. I'm not sure it will feel like summer here before we move.
Love the collage. What a great idea to capture the seasons from your NH window. How exciting that you are moving to NC. Where are moving to? I lived in Chapel Hill for a couple years and loved it.
Well I hope the transition to your new home goes well. Nice collage of the "seasons". They are definitely one of the main features of living in the northeast!
