After Saturday morning's scrimmage game, they boys and coaches said a prayer for their teammate who missed the game because his father passed away from cancer Friday night. Sad way to start the season. It's been a tough summer for my son's friends. One of his friend's mother passed away suddenly, another's parents divorced and now this.
That is really so great that they could do that as a show of support. Wow- that is a lot of "life" stuff to have thrown at you all at once. But I'm sure your faith will help him through it. Faith can be so comforting when the world gets chaotic and full of unexpected events.
A moving shot and a nice photo to give to your son's team mate when the time is appropriate - what a nice gesture. MIght be years before you give him this photo, but it will be meaningful at the right time.
