Cooking for a family of 5 (3 of which are teens), I have a lot of bigger pots and pans, most of which will not fit into my dishwasher so I have to wash them by hand. I like to cook, but I don't like doing dishes! This is my Six Word Story!
I certainly understand the sentiment but whenever I get into the "I wish I had..." mode I remind myself I don't have to hike down the mountain to wash my clothes in the Bushkill and then hike back up to hang them out to dry! It has a way of really putting things into perspective!
@olivetreeann I don't know how pioneer women did it. They had huge families to cook and clean for. They must have spent all day in the kitchen from pre-dawn to bed time to feed all of them and clean that all up. No wonder they had a short lifespan. @digitalrn I do miss the giant farm sink that was in our house in NH. But, that house had an even smaller dishwasher! LOL!
