John Jacobs and two members of his Power Team, all former NFL players, were at our church today to speak and show off their skills. The two brothers, Jerome and Shawn King broke baseball bats, rolled up frying pans, ripped license plates in two, crushed unopened cans of soda with their hands, and even broke a hammer that is guaranteed never to break! Their arms were .... as my friends' daughter put it....bigger than my head. Jerome is 6'7 and nearly 400 pounds and Shawn is 6'3 and nearly 300 pounds, and as you can tell neither brother is fat. They also had quite a testimony of overcoming drug use to become the Christian men they are today. The church board committee invited them to our church...for today's word, committee.
Well, I'm pretty sure these objects are a piece of cake compared to the opponents they met in the NFL! There are so many players that have a testimony- it's great to see them being shared too!
@bkbinthecity Yes, they were pretty cool. @randystreat It was quite amazing to see. They do a lot of school programs, too. @cdean1956 Oh, wow. @olivetreeann At least the baseball bats and frying pans didn't hit back! LOL! @sangwann My husband was working the parking lot when they came in Sunday morning and escorted them to the sanctuary, which is 3 buildings over. He's normally considered a fairly big guy, but he looked like a kid standing next to these guys! LOL! @digitalrn Thanks. It was very hard to get a good picture of them because of the lighting and them moving constantly. @kareenking Hahaha! Absolutely!
