I often use the firetower as a reference point to tell people where I live. But, when I tell them it's right behind my house, I don't think they understand that it's almost in my backyard. My backyard is rather triangular in shape, and the top point literally points right to the tower, maybe 30 yards though the trees.
@randystreat I'm sure they are still talking about my husband and boys putting up a tree stand in a tree behind our fence last year so the boys could practice getting in and out of the tree stand safely! LOL! We didn't realize the are was under surveillance (at least a sign says it is). @bkbinthecity It's not far from our back fence.
