My Get Pushed challenge this week is to buy some flowers, put them on a table where there is natural light, add items that go with it, and make a still life - deliberate photography, since I tend to do a lot of recording life around me. So, today, I gave myself a "tea" party with coffee and biscotti. But, I loved this simpler version.
@egoodine Yes, that's how I started out. It's not nearly as glamorous as it seems. But, I must say, the photographer part was better than the reporter part of the job. Even once I became an editor, I still liked taking the photos and developing the film best. My last year I worked in newspapers was when we started scanning in our negatives and editing the pics on computer. Still no digital photography. I haven't worked in the field since my daughter was born 20 years ago.
This is very different to your usual style, it's very pretty.
Couldn't help but read your reply to Elizabeth... I started working for a printer and newspaper 29 years ago so we were probably doing it at similar times. I was a digital compositer for about 10 years and loved it but got tired of the deadlines, working all night, etc. I've always loved playing in Photoshop though.
