Autumn officially begins today. But, here in the South, we call it "second summer." This morning, it was 70 and very humid at 6:30 this morning, with highs in the mid-80s by afternoon. We do get a little fall color on the leaves, but not much. I always thought the leaves changed after the first frost, but here, the chlorophyll just runs out and the leaves turn while it's still quite hot. It won't really feel like autumn here until around Thanksgiving.
If you'd prefer a different challenge, just let me know and I'll set another.
