My friend found a recipe for homemade perogis online. So, we tried to make them Saturday. However, midway through making them, her husband called to say his keys were in her truck, so she had to leave before we could finish them. I finally got to finish them tonight. I rolled out the dough, cut out circles with a cup and put in the filling of potatoes, onions and cheese. First you boil them until they float, then you fry them in butter. For the first time ever, my husband ate perogis without dipping them in ketchup. He loved the homemade ones. They were much better than the frozen perogis I buy at the store. The perogis in the top right pic are ready to be boiled and the ones on the bottom left, just came out of the water. Now, I want to figure out what go into potstickers, because they are pretty much the same except the filling.
