Tonight I took pictures of the moon with both of my cameras. My old camera has a better zoom, but it's focus isn't as sharp as it used to be. My new camera's lens doesn't reach out nearly as far as my old camera, but the focus is much better. If I could only combine the two.
That's the reason why I will never get rid of my Powershot- the zoom is perfect for moon shots. My Canon zoom that I use on my t3i doesn't "reach" as far as the Powershot and I just can't justify buying another lens! You may be able to get away with cropping this to bring the moon in closer. If your shot is focused it should be able to handle it. Nice moon shot!
