I reprocessed this picture I took, so that it is black and white for the Feb book club challenge. I can't decide if I like it better in b&w or color.

The colours in the original are quite muted anyway and I'm not convinced they really add anything to the shot, so I think I prefer this version, but I find that the longer I spend on this project the more I am drawn to black and white and if you had asked me a year ago I would probably have preferred the colour.
@dh I used to do a lot of black and white 25 years ago. Now I'm hooked on color, but as I do more B&W again, I'm starting to think, "Oh, that would be a great B&W" when I take shots.
This is more restful. The colors in the other are so muted they wake you up, I like that. You look at it and start to see it as black and white, and then our eyes "say to themselves" wait, this is color!
@joansmor Me, too. Course, I'd like it even more if there were green leaves behind the bird! LOL!
