Just put your lips together and blow! by homeschoolmom

Just put your lips together and blow!

The macro view across my son's science experiment gives you the viewpoint of the person blowing into the tubes of water to produce different sounds. We tied science and music together in home school today, along with my photo project.

Here's my other picture that goes along with this one: http://365project.org/homeschoolmom/favorites/2014-03-03
Cool macro shot. Sounds like an interesting experiment.

Wonderful shot. Sorry to be so dumb but what is a macro view. I sort of think I know but am unclear? You are making learning so much fun for your son.

How cool is that

@ceilidh Margaret Marco View, is a very close shot. Most cameras have a Macro on them or a macro lens for the camera for the really close shots

That is magical - well done!

@sarasdadandmom thanks Terry. One of my students told me about the project and I decided to have a go. At the moment I'm using either my phone or iPad to take the pictures but have come, quite quickly, to recognise that if I am to improve I need a decent camera so at the moment am looking for a camera sore where the staff know what they are talking about so that I'm not blinded by their sales pitch. I so want to learn to be as brilliant as all those, like yourself , who really know what they're doing.

@kathysview @ceilidh @sarasdadandmom @lynnilou Thanks so much!
@ceilidh My daughter takes great pictures with her iPhone, but there isn't a lot of options when you use that. The panorama is awesome, though. Wish my camera did that. But, you can still get decent pictures and have many extra options on a cheaper point and shoot that won't cost you an arm and a leg. I have a Nikon Coolpix P520. It cost me about $350. So far, it lets me do everything I've wanted to do or try.

Thanks Lisa. I don't have a full day seeing students tomorrow so I'll nip into the city and have a look. Have made a note of your camera
