@tonygig@flashter78 Thanks for the FAV! @annika82@joansmor@joansmor@skippysue@tinapeterson Thanks! @digitalrn I don't know, they were moving pretty fast diving in the water when I walked up. This green stuff was full of turtles when I walked up. I was only able to get a picture of a few of them before they disappeared. @randystreat I think they call these painted turtles, I didn't know they bite. I'll have to warn the boys! LOL!
He looks very alert and lively even this early in the season - seems strange (but pleasantly so) to see creatures that we don't have here in northern Europe.
@vignouse That's one of the things I like about 365, seeing all the different animals, birds specifically, from different areas. I didn't realize there weren't turtles in northern Europe. I remember seeing turtles in Germany when we were there. @olivetreeann The sun was warm, but it was cold out. Weird weather here! LOL!
@homeschoolmom It's increasingly common to find Terrapins in the wild that have been released after outgrowing aquariums or, often, flushed down the toilet and surviving - even profiting from - the sewage treatment plant but there are no native species of turtles to my knowledge.
@annika82 @joansmor @joansmor @skippysue @tinapeterson Thanks!
