Your question is hard to answer at Busch Gardens! But you'll see antique glass ( and reproductions) with that distinctive ring because even window glass was originally mouth blown and then cut open. The "bottle bottom" effect is where the molten glass attached to the blowpipe.
I hope I'm not pointing out the obvious. I get more pedantic every year!
Those are rondels - basically a blown glass ball that has been flattened. Many glass blowers make these as they are very popular for stained glass (like here) or suncatchers.
