Sadly unknown

This battle was the Confederate's last significant attempt to fight the Union troops (March 19-21, 1865, about 3 weeks before Gen. Robert E. Lee surrendered). Parts of the battlefield are now a North Carolina State Park. A cemetery holds the remains of 23 Confederate soldiers from the battle, unknown soldiers. Thankfully, with today's DNA testing, there are no more unknown soldiers.
History - I love it!
