Local TV show, Carolina All Out, came out to Lee County Wildlife Club to do a story on the Youth Hunter Skills Program today. And, they brought with them Scott Matthews, a local trick shooter sponsored by Benelli shotguns. He shot golf balls, baseballs, clay targets, cabbage, cauliflower, a tomato and ....a shaving cream. It was a fun. But, his final shot exploded into a huge fireball and set the high grass of the shotgun range on fire. My husband and a few other guys put it out easily, since the ground was so wet fron a week of rain. I'm actually surprised the grass burned after all the rain we've had. Ironically, it's not the first time one of my husband's friends have set a range on fire by accident.
