We were going to walk out on these rocks to see the Spring Point Lighthouse up close. However, the uneven rocks were covered in a thick layer of ice and snow, so we decided against it and just took pictures from the shore.
Hope you get to Portland Headlight sometime. So many wonderful lighthouses in Maine. At Portland Head is also a lovely old stone home that is just a shell now. Great photo ops.

My husband was worried about one of us falling and breaking a bone. Those rocks are huge. Probably wouldn't have fallen in the water, but it would have been two easy to slip between two rocks and snap and ankle.
