That's road salt on my husband's truck. No wonder the mechanic was so excited to work on my husband's truck. He kept going on an on about how it didn't have any rust....now we know why! LOL! Good thing we are only here for a year, else we would be driving rust buckets, too.
The picture of the salt on my van mirror is in this same album Jan. 28.
Wow- I thought it was animal tracks in the snow at first! Yes, we are constantly washing off the salt and grit in winter- but I'd rather do that than skid off the road every time I go out after it snows.
@olivetreeann I have been completely impressed by New England's ability to clear their roads quickly, even after a big snow. But, the amount of salt and sand they use must cost them a fortune. @pixiemac Thanks so much!
@olivetreeann Yesterday, my boys were convinced that we had black bear tracks in the snow pile at the end of our drive way. My husband thinks it's just the way the snow is melting, but it did look exactly like a bear print, even the right size! LOL!
