A view across central park from atop one of the giant rock hills. This bridge is an iconic symbol of Central Park. After a stroll through this part of the park, we had NYC's famous hot dogs from a street vendor for dinner. We loved the park, but was disappointed in the hot dogs. They were rubbery and very gross. I think we picked the wrong street vendor. LOL!
Such a pretty scene!! I've been to New York and it was in March. The trees in Central Park were just starting to sprout at the time so I didn't get this view.
@kwind It was a beautiful park, but very noisy from the city around it. Our trees in NH are just starting to look like spring, so it was nice to enjoy spring for a while.
@bernicrumb Oh, my, really? I can't imagine living in a city like that. By the end of the day, I was pretty happy to see the suburbs of NJ! LOL! I like to visit the city and sightsee, but that place just had way too many people! LOL!
@homeschoolmom I can't imagine living where my dad does either! Too many people and too much noise, even at night. But there's a lot of wonderful places to see and things to do that only happen there, so I do feel rewarded for putting up with what I don't like by that. My dad is freaked out by wide open spaces, so Manhattan is the perfect place for him. :-)
@swilde Thanks! @lafish Thanks! @bernicrumb Then NYC is the perfect spot for him, no open spaces there, that's for sure! LOL! He probably would hate the mid-West with it's giant cornfields!
