When I was out taking architecture pictures in downtown Sanford, I found this brick park on the corner of Carthage and Moore in the historic old area. I can't imagine how hot those brick benches are when it's 100+ degrees F outside. Notice that all of the buildings are brick. Even parts of the sidewalk are brick.
@digitalrn The downtown area is very nice with lots of antique shops and specialty shops to visit. @randystreat I think the clay helps retain water, because we haven't had much rain this summer.
