Historic church gets a new roof

I photographed this church earlier this month for Architectural August. As I drove by the other day, I noticed it was getting a new metal roof. They are only removing small sections of roofing at a time due to rain from a tropical storm moving through. Can't wait to see it finished.

Here's the pic from earlier this month: http://365project.org/homeschoolmom/more-challenges/2015-08-02
Interesting they're going with a metal roof- I've only seen them in New England for the snow. Pretty church- love the tall windows.

@olivetreeann They are quite popular here in the South, too, surprisingly. I would think they would be very hot, but a lot of people have them on their houses now.
@mittens @danette Thanks, this church dates back to the Civil War.
@linnypinny Thanks!
