80 pounds of chicken, oh, my! by homeschoolmom

80 pounds of chicken, oh, my!

This morning about 10 a.m. I picked up my meat delivery, this month it is chicken breast. I got two 40-pound boxes, so I had to process it quickly. Well, not too quickly. It took me about 6 hours. But, I now have frozen cooked chicken medalions (ready to eat), spicy chicken chunks (cooked and ready to bag and freeze), marinated chicken (ready to cook), small bags of cubed chicken (ready to make soup), and whole chicken breasts (ready to cook).
Holy cow! I mean holy chicken

@homeschoolmomYears ago we used to buy beef quarters to stock up on freezer supplies but now days it is so much easier to go out for supper at night, though I have started an old family tradition, making supper on Sundays and inviting the kids. That was something my Grandparents used to do. There is something special about some of those old traditions that have slipped away. We really try to create those moments of memories.

You had a productive day! You will enjoy the convenience of all that prepared meat. It seems like if the meat is somewhat prepared, the meal is just easier to put together. Good for you!!
