Twice a year, our women's group at church as a knitting/crochet night. Tonight the emphasis was on learning to knit. While I am proficient at crocheting, my skills at knitting are definitely lacking. And now my fingers hurt because I make the stitches too tight! This is one of my friends. She's a skilled knitter.
Also, my Get Pushed challenge this week (although I didn't get it posted in time) was to show cooperation. I think her hands and the needles work well to show cooperation.
Lovely close up capture. I can knit much better than I can crochet but I am adamant that I will learn how to crochet, hopefully before the end of this year!
@lynnilou They laugh at me, too! I'm not left handed, but I'm a very awkward knitter! LOL! @salza I think crochet is much easier and faster. I learned at age 5. My neighbor sent me home with a little ball of yarn and a needle to practice making chains. I did that over and over. Went back the next day and she taught me the single crochet stitch. I went home practiced that over and over. Then she taught me double crochet,... After about a week, she taught me to make granny squares and I made my first afghan before I turned 6.
