Boy Scout Stick To It by homeschoolmom

Boy Scout Stick To It

The last two Tuesdays, the boys worked on this stick bridge. They finished it tonight. It was much sturdier outside in where the sticks could dig into the ground. But, it had to have some assistance from the boys after they carried it up 3 flights of steps to the Boy Scout room. It was sturdy enough for the Scout Master to walk across it after it was assembled. One of the boys walked across it after they carried it upstairs.
I can honestly say I have never seen a bridge constructed inside a building before. Nice capture of their results

Looks like a good lesson.

@grammyn They actually constructed it outside, but carried it up 3 flights of steps to their scout room to keep it! LOL! Needless to say, it wasn't that sturdy after being carried up 3 flights of steps by 10 rowdy boys! LOL!

I remember how I liked to lash sticks together at Girl Scout camp. Their rope is much fancier than ours was (back in the days). Nice job.

@randystreat They used parachute cord (mostly from our house). Might have held together better if they had used real rope! LOL!
