My boys left Thursday afternoon for a big hiking trip to the Pisgah National Forest in western NC, well into bear country. They had a brush with a bear. Well, actually, the bear had a brush....with my son's toothpaste. And, it stole another boy's toothbrush. They put all their stuff 12 feet up into a tree, hanging off a branch to keep it away from bears. But, a bear still got it down and got into the bag. It bit a hole in my youngest son's toothpaste and stole his first aid kit. So, he bought this little bear and named it Toothpaste. He's going to empty the toothpaste out of the tube and put the tube into a shadow box.
