His 15th Birthday fieldtrip Tanked!

My boys love the Animal Planet show "Tanked." They saw one of their tanks at a furniture store two years ago and have been wanting to go see this on at the Greensboro Science Center. So, for Hunter's 15th birthday we took a homeschool field trip to the Science Center. This is a cool tank, but we didn't see the giant octopus that was in it. It was rather disappointing, as was the whole science center which was strangely lacking in science. We used to either go to the St. Louis Science Center or the St. Louis Zoo for birthday fieldtrips, so I guess we were spoiled. Both of them are free, this little science center cost us $43 to get in and another $46 for lunch and we'd seen everything in just a few hours. Sadly, our favorite exhibit was the 2-story pendulum that showed that the earth rotated.
Happy birthday. This is a very colorful shot.

@grammyn This science center didn't have much science, but it had a lot of color.

Sounds like this center is privately funded for the ticket price. And while the St. Louis Zoo and Science Center are awesome (I've been there!), is a misconception to think they're free since their funding comes from federal taxes and you know who is paying those! Too bad it was such a disappointing trip for you. Sounds like this one needs some better management.
