Fall in the South by homeschoolmom

Fall in the South

The giant magnolia trees in the southeastern U.S. are evergreen. They actually shed leaves all summer while they bloom. And in early fall the fruit left behind by the huge magnolia flowers (up to 12 inches in diameter) ripen and fall off the trees creating even more mess than an apple tree because magnolia trees are 3 or 4 times the size of most fruit trees.
I think the bottom photo would be lovely on its own.
