is starting to nip at our toes. No snow yet, but some sparkly ice crystals early in the morning. ( Can anyone tell me how to catch that sparkle from the sun? There were more flashes of light in real life.)

That looks cold, I would try getting closer & focus on one section or leaf with the light in the right place to capture your sparkles. I haven't captured sparkles on frost but I did get some refraction in this one http://365project.org/wenbow/just-one-more/2012-07-03. I usually spot the sun sparkle & make a bee line for it, I probably haven't been much help. I only have a couple of frost shots through my ablums cos I not that adventurous to get out in the cold
