In the Field (antelope)

We saw several groups of pronghorn antelope on the way south back to Phoenix. I liked the white-yellow dry grass mixed with the new green of spring.
Beautiful shot.

Really beautiful!

The high key light works nicely for this image. Almost the textures of a modern Amrican landscape impressionist painter.

This is beautiful. Would be a fav if the antelope was facing sideways or toward the camera. I like the grass too.

Wow, great soft colors and painterly effect! I'd hang it on my wall. And phooey to @btorrey, it's a fav for me. How did you process this?

@danielwsc I only lightened the exposure and added just a smidge of contrast. That grass really was amazing. I have other shots showing the antelope from full side (less rear end) but I really loved the grass in this one. I also think there's something meaningful about him turning away--toward the desert and away from us.

@houser934 I agree about the antelope's position, it is more meaningful than a side or head on shot.

Love the color variation
