The woods in early spring

This photo doesn't do it justice, but the forest is so magical looking in early spring. There are no leaves overhead, so the light comes down to the forest floor. Silver and gold leaves from the fall are slowly covered over by the un-naturally green leaves. Missing from this photo is the sound of "peepers"...frogs singing their hearts out in the small puddle-ponds in the low areas.
