Every December we take a trip up the road to Shatila Middle Eastern Bakery, mostly to get baklava and a wonderful treat made of sugar and pistachios flavored with rosewater, cooked into something chewy and gelatinous. I don't know what it's called, but I love it.) They also have the most beautiful traditional French style cakes and pastries.
No longer middle aged, and no longer taking pictures every day....but cannot quit yet.
