Danggit is a Filipino name for rabbitfish. It can be eaten fresh or dried. It is popular in Cebu as dried and salted. Fried rice with danggit, dipped in vinegar ,is the best breakfast for many.
omg! i remember the last time i had danggit for breakfast!! it's that crispy, "soundy", salty, sour experience that sets it apart from other more mainstream breakfasts! ahaha!
You have to be Filipino to appreciate this guys. I just sooo love this anytime breakfast. lunch or dinner. I must go to the nearest Asian shop around here now & see if I can get some danggit. Nice capture, Dennis!
