treecreeper

When I walk with camera I see other things then normally, as this little bird on the tree. 200mm is the maximum focallength and I can feel the camera stretching the limit on this picture.
Like it, I think your right the camera is stretching!
Is the bird as sharp as the bark? I can't tell on my screen/the website.

The artist , not the tools makes masterpieces. Well done

@daviddobedoe Almost, but not as sharp I feel.

The reason I asked is I'm learning about depth of field. Was reading about how shallow it can be / is on a 200mm lens last night (depending on aperture) If the bird is not as sharp as the tree I suspect this is an example of this. Post is aimed at supporting learning (mine and others)

Als je het vogeltje als onderwerp neemt moet je daar op focussen en scherp stellen. Dat komt nauw

@daviddobedoe Tnx! It is taken with the automatic focus feature of the camera. Although there are three different ways the camera can focus automaticly, you don't have real control on what it focussed, especially with long focal-lenghts as here. I'm still struggling to get the object in focus with long focal-lengths. Because of the focal-length there is only a small portion in focus.
