Broadgauge, a restaurant in Petersburg, Illinois

This town has long been associated with Abraham Lincoln and author Edgar Lee Masters.
The Broadgauge a department store, was built in 1872 and had the
“Largest stock of merchandise” outside Chicago!
John Brahm had the building built, as legend has it with one days earnings he made on the Chicago grain market. Sadly he died penniless.

That's a sad end to the story but in a way it still goes on since the building is still in use. Nice collage!
