Weed?

Spotted this hairy beast, during a walk on the Wirral Way this afternoon. No idea what it is, not in bloom yet? Just big buds.

fantastic focus and hairiness - giant hogweed? it's amazing, but its sap will burn skin. I love it for other picture opportunities

@shannejw thanks Shanne, I’m thinking now I shouldn’t have touched it! It didn’t sting though and those hairs were soft. A while ago when I was taking a picture of some tree bark with my phone, a guy asked what I was doing and did I have an app for recognising tree bark, as he was looking for one. I thought what a good idea, but alas I don’t think there is one. I wonder if there’s one for identifying plants? Now if I just had the technical know how and the money…Dragon’s Den anyone?
