This was the last Hands on Science. 5th grade got to dissect sharks!
The volunteer leading this class was awesome! He explained how cool sharks are and that you never should eat shark-fin-soup as we want to have sharks for ever. Dissecting these sharks was ok, because they are specifically bread for schools/science.
Normally he ordered 1 pregnant female per class, however, the pregnant females were on back order, so we didn't expect any babies. But... the first shark I opened up had babies! Very cool!
Straight after 3 classes, I had to pick up my oldest her comment was: "you smell weird". She put it nicely - at home I took my stinky clothes off and had a shower.
