Update June 2022 - We moved back to Houston, Texas (same house we lived in from 2012 to 2019 - we rented it out). Most neighbors are still the same, the lady at the check out in the supermarket was the same, the Middle School bus driver waved at me as if I had never left...

It feels if the 3 years in Oman just evaporated, but luckily I have tons of photos, of which many are posted here.

I still enjoy the 365 community a lot! I read every single comment you make on my photos, but will not respond with a thank you. Instead I prefer to have a look at your photos. If you follow me, I'm happy to follow you back!


Update March 2021 - We are still in Oman. Due to the pandemic I had/have a lot more time for photography and started AYWMC in April 2020. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I really appreciate all the comments and favs on my photos and read them all, but in stead of thanking you under the pictures I prefer to have a look at your photos.

Update Jan 2020 - time flies and I still love 365! In August 2019 I moved with my husband and 2 kids to Muscat, Oman from Houston, Texas for an expat assignment. Although we are Dutch, we left our oldest daughter behind in Texas. She now studies at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).

Nov 2017 - I'm already in my 4th year on 365, so time for an update...
Because my kids are getting bigger (they are 11, 14 & 16), the project helps me to still use my camera. Also, I really enjoy learning new things almost daily due to the project. Examples are words, insects, natural phenomenons I have never seen or heard of before. I'm not as strict for myself as when I started, but I still try to take a picture everyday and upload as often as possible. However, sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day/week.

Since summer 2012 I live with my husband and 3 kids in Houston, Texas and we are planning to stay for a long time... I've been thinking about this project for a couple of years and now I bought a new camera it seemed the right time to start...
I'm hoping this project helps me improve my skills.
