Taken yesterday - in the front you see Yelena swimming. The triplets (her friends) kind of made her do it, hence I think it fits the prompt.
The rock you see in the background is Al Fahal, a small island (area of 2.24km2) in front of Muscat. As it is "only" 4km from the closest beach swim clubs have had events swimming around it. Yelena has always said she wouldn't participate, but now she is getting use to swimming in the sea, she might DO IT when the time comes...
i love that rock/island. i've written quite a few short stories mentioning it. when i first arrived in oman, i had to stay at the intercontinental and from my room i could see this. but i got distracted by the large fruit basket so i never got a photo of it. nor the fruit basket. 😜
Beautiful shot. Yelena looks like she is a good swimmer. Swimming in the open sea is much easier than in a fresh water polo - the salt makes you much more buoyant. When I swim in a pool I feel like I have sacks full of sand tied to my legs. Go for it Yelena. BTW Muscat is quite a common surname in Malta.
