As the last photo for the FOR is a low key shot and word for February is 'flavour' I retrieved this photo twice from the card in my camera.
The first time I threw it away as I found it to dark, but... It it works here.
On Saturday we went out for dinner for my birthday in an Omani restaurant.
The beautiful container has dates and on the plate is our dessert - date cheese cake!
belated birthday greetings, ingrid. before i came to oman, i read that omani dates are the best in the world. on my very first day, the hotel had a bowl of omani dates in my room, as the agent in manila told my boss i was reading about omani dates, so instead of flowers, the hotel put dates in my room. i've had dates from other parts of the world since and yes, it's true, omani dates are the best!
Looks like it was a sumptuous dinner for your birthday. Happy birthday. I like the sound of dates cheesecake - must be delicious. Do I see a scoop of ice cream to go with it? Wow it must be very good. We have date tarts which we get with ice cream after a good dinner and it really ends a great meal with a big bang.
