brough waves

Taken at the Brough of Birsay today
Camera Zero Image pinhole
Film Fuji FP100c
exposed 3 secs
developed 3 minutes - ish
these blues really evoke seaside air and sky. the texture of the film gives a modern slant to this. Very cool shot!

Pinhole Camera, Awesome!

Smashing! Amazing the clarity that you can get from a pinhole camera.

fab shot. I so love the moody look that appears

Jon
This is awesome... I'm inspired by how you are blending the craft with the art.....
March 3rd, 2013
Very cool that you're doing the pinhole camera thing, too. Wow!

Love the inky blue tones in this image. They create such a serene feeling. Just beautiful, Ingrid. Congrats on the PP!

absolutely beautiful shot.

Love the tone, it's a melancolic photo.
March 3rd, 2013
Nice image! I always love the mood of your photos.

@vase Thank you Carla, I love this film so much, it's quite pricey so it's not used so much
@soren Thanks Jake! Nice to see you :)
@steampowered Thanks Paul, I didn't make this one, that's on my to do list, which is getting longer and longer....
@chezza @jonfrank @kazzaj @annick @3whiteroses Thank you all, really glad you like it :)

@joa It feels like a cheat as I didn't make the camera, but I really like the results it gives. It's still just a box with a hole... that gets me every time I use it!
March 3rd, 2013
@pflaume Thank you Lisa, and thank you again !!
March 3rd, 2013
@ingrid2101 No cheat, pretty awesome in any case! :)
March 3rd, 2013
Wonderful pinhole shot Ingrid - the blue tones are gorgeous! : )
March 3rd, 2013
@joa thanks Johanna, I just think of Carla's work - all homemade and stunning !!
@vase
March 3rd, 2013
@ingrid2101 Yes, that's a different challenge and Carla does it beautifully. :) But you can try that later. At least you know the technique and are using it already. :)
March 3rd, 2013
@ingrid2101 good lord, if there is pinhole cheating, then I'm going to jail for Lightroom abuse and fraud. I love these Zero Image cameras and I want one, but I'm obsessed with idea of making one from a folding camera. I think paper, film, DIY, laser drilled, square and cylindrical all tell their genre of stories and it's all good!
March 3rd, 2013
Intriguing, love all the lines coming together in the brighter clouds.
March 3rd, 2013
Love the blue tines and am blown away by your skill :)
March 3rd, 2013
A beautifully tactile image ...
March 3rd, 2013
Cool -- you are such fun to follow!

What great DoF. I love how you describe the camera, film and developing process. I would love to take that step and process my own. Lovely shot.
March 4th, 2013
I love this
March 4th, 2013
Hardly a "cheat". Nikon made my camera!
March 4th, 2013
Sounds complicated!!! Neat blue tones and like how the rocks work as leading lines.
March 4th, 2013
Thanks for the follow too!
March 4th, 2013
@vase Haha Lightroom abuse! I know what you mean - too many cameras/ideas and not enough time
@primitiveprobe Thanks Andreas :)
@sheilag Thank you very much Sheila :)

@still_beachradish @wendyhgill Thank you !!
@redsherpa These are great fun cameras, the hands on is what still gets me in photography
@peterdegraaff Thank you Peter !
@Cheesebiscuit I know.. just I'd like to make one just haven't round to it yet!
@ruthmouch Thank you Ruth and you're welcome - I love you showing us such a different part of the world. Oh and it's nowhere near as complicated as a digital camera. I had a shot and started trying to twist the lens to focus.. :)
March 4th, 2013
This pulls you righ in with the lines of the rocks going into the sea, beautiful composition!
March 5th, 2013
Love the tone!
March 6th, 2013
Very cool, I'm struck by how dynamic this looks with all the lines converging on the horizon.
