pier reflection

I have so many photos with this title, this one I think was taken in Hoy. Seriously considering some decent software for b&w. That means less money for film though :( -will have to think about it as I really don't like what I have. Maybe I just don't know how to use it properly . It's PS elements version something really really old.
HP5 Nikon FE - developed in ID11 8mins
Lovely shot Ingrid

Very nice indeed. I use DxO FilmPack to emulate different types of B&W (and colour) film and they do a thirty day free trial too. http://www.dxo.com/intl/photography/dxo-filmpack

Wonderful.

Interesting balance with negative space and reflection. I use Nik software suite. All my photos Including b&w I run through Colour Efex. It has a great set of contrast tools which work. Surprisingly I rarely use Silver Efex, but it can be useful

I really like this, my mind is determined to see this as the right way up even though I know it isn't. the composition really works for me.

I can recommend Silver Efex II for B&W, it should work as a plug-in inside PS elements. (and there are discount codes about if you google it)

I love Silver Efex Pro 2 as well, though it's noticeable how much b&w I'm doing just in Lightroom since upgrading to v5.
