Didn't really want this much movement but the limitations of film made it this way. Portra is a lovely film but I should have bought the 400 ASA instead I bought 160. The aperture is open to 3.5 but the fastest I could do was 1/30th sec. Sometimes I can see the advantages of digital - being able to change the speed to suit the DoF and conditions is very tempting
Nikon FE
Kodak Portra 160
Tetenal C41 kit
For me, the limitation is my favorite aspect of film. Great image!

The movement is lovely.

The alternative would be too push it slightly by telling camera it was 400ASA, or maybe have moved slightly more into light and shot with a faster shutter. The colours are very nice though

@peterdegraaff I've pushed b&w but wasn't sure about colour, will experiment a bit I think, just didn't want underexposed negs.

@ingrid2101 By resetting ASA on camera for 1 shot, by developing the same, it will only impact the one photo, making it slightly more exposed. My alternative would have been to move slightly more into light to increase shutter speed and lessen movement. I usually ignore camera anyway and shoot for the shadows

You've truly done a great job although I can see what you wanted too! Personally I love everything about it. :-)

It shows how much thought and consideration goes into your shots. There are white squiggles.

Love the DOF in this. Lovely colours too. I have to say the ability to change ISO. per shot is one of the things I like best about digital photography

I like the movement here, but I still haven't really got my head round what changing ISO (for eg) might or might not do for me!

I agree - flexible ISO is one of the best things about digital.

It catches the motion well and the colors.

Wonderful capture of movement in the grasses. Love the light, too.

Gorgeous light and beautiful just as it is! I spin my ISO dial back and forth so fast it blurs! ; )
