WEll that proved to be trickier than I thought. Kind of the whole point I suppose . I wanted to start taking part in the get pushed and was paired up with Lena who challenged me to "take a photo of something that illustrates the concept of happiness." Ah that's easy I thought.... It was a lovely idea to be carrying around in my head but I have a tendency to go off on tangents. I also started to question what happiness is?? The only way I'd be able to do something would be to find something that instills a feeling of happiness. So many things, I discarded the material stuff and when I was sitting at the beach on Tues I realised I was content...doing nothing but enjoying a beautifully calm evening waiting for the children to finish their walk. So being by the sea makes me happy and I decided after taking a few photos that I'd use the slow shutter to try and emulate the feeling I had. Thank you for comments recently. I haven't been able to get to the computer much recently but hopefully catch up in the next few days
I love the way you've portrayed your feelings into this shot. Makes me feel relaxed which in turn makes me feel happy! So a fantastic achievement. Well done you. Love it :)
A wonderful shot and it portrays all that you want it to be. Happiness is all things to all people. To my unpleasant neighbours on one side, it is the big four wheel drive, a bbq every Saturday and having the biggest plasma TV that you can, with the volume cranked right up. To the nice neighbours on the other side it is having their brand new grandson staying with them. To me... a bit of silence, a glass of beer and the companionship of the cats goes down well...
This is beautiful Ingrid, so tranquil - perfect for your challenge! I am never happier, then when I am sitting on the beach looking out to sea! : ) fav
