Converted one of the colour film shots to b&w. My husband going through the water. A friend had gone snorkelling recently and posted photos on FB - I met him the next day and he was so excited and enthusiastic that I immediately mentioned it to Stuart who was also keen. Straight on the internet that evening and ordered cheap wetsuits and masks etc. Seriously cheap. We decided if it was something we were going to stick at then we'd get something more luxurious. We're now wondering where to next. I'm wondering why it's taken me 46 years to do this.....

@rachelwithey Thanks Rachel - Nearly chickened out, but warmed up after a bit! The sea never really gets warm here but the sun shining made all the difference, coffee and biscuits on the beach after. Quite a blissful day really :)
I love that flipper -- could almost think it's a merman's tail. I went snorkeling once and loved it but haven't had a chance to go again. My forty something daughter has just taken up scuba diving so you can try that next!
Ok, so I see a lot of photos of "things," but not so many of people....
I would like to see a "portrait" that features a body part, you can pick the body part, be it ears, eyes, hands, feet........... that's what I'm thinking...
Fav. Another great result. Agree with you about the birthday thing. Hated turning 30, but 40 was great!!! I have really enjoyed my 40's but sadly they are drawing to a close :-)
Great shot and pov, glad you loved snorkelling, the world under water is fascinating. I keep on meaning to take my PADI diving course but so far have only done a couple of try dives but still amazing
There's a time and season for everything.... now it seems, is the time for flippering through the waters. Have fun! Love this shot and hope the experience is great.
This is just so cool - like we are there in the water with you - love it Ingrid! How funny - I am just about to join the wetsuit club - off to France next week and at the weekend we decided I would get a wetsuit and Pete would buy a kite!!!! Random I know, but never stop trying new things - have fun! : ) fav
I love this shot, the contrast is great and it looks so mysterious as most of the shot is either blackness or light reflecting off bubbles. looks great full-size too. fav+

You, dear, are a rock star!
